VMPS, Plankton Sampler The VMPS is a plankton net system that makes collections with vertical tows. The system is ideally suited for monitoring vertical plankton distribution and for collecting living specimens. Each of 4 nets can be opened from the surface controller based on a choice of operating parameters. A variety of ocean sensors can be attached to the VMPS, providing a complete plankton sampling system. VMPS Specification Sheet  (243K)
